Winter Chill Grips the UAE: Single-Digit Temperatures Recorded in Highlight Destinations

As winter takes hold in the UAE, residents have eagerly awaited the drop in temperatures, which have finally reached single digits in several areas. The National Centre of Meteorology recorded the coldest day of the year on January 10, with Raknah (Al Ain) reaching 5.3°C at 7.30 am. This marks the lowest temperature recorded in 2024 so far, with the area experiencing colder temperatures compared to others. On January 9, Jebel Jais mountain recorded a temperature drop to 7.2°C, and some mountainous regions are expected to witness even lower temperatures. The winter season officially began after December 21, and despite a milder winter compared to previous years, outdoor enthusiasts are looking forward to enjoying the captivating snow-capped mountains of Jebel Jais, a popular winter destination according to storm chaser Fahad Mohamad Abdul Rehman.
