Dubai Police Launch ‘A Day Without Accidents’ Campaign

As students return to school, Dubai Police are urging motorists to participate in the ‘A Day Without Accidents’ campaign on August 26. This initiative aims to promote road safety and reduce traffic incidents on the first day back to school.

Commitment to Road Safety

Brig Jumaa bin Suwaidan, acting director of the General Department of Traffic, emphasized that the campaign aligns with Dubai Police’s vision for a secure city. He stated, “Our goal is to ensure the highest levels of safety for all road users through awareness campaigns and traffic initiatives.”

Key Safety Reminders for Motorists

Motorists are encouraged to strictly adhere to traffic laws, especially around school zones. Key reminders include:

  • Comply with speed limits: Pay special attention to speed limits near schools.
  • Avoid distractions: Do not use mobile phones while driving.
  • Maintain safe distances: Keep a safe distance between vehicles.
  • Prioritize pedestrians: Always give way to pedestrians crossing the road.
  • Yield to emergency vehicles: Make way for emergency and public service vehicles.
Participate and Earn Rewards

By signing the initiative’s pledge, participants commit to avoiding traffic violations and accidents on the first day of school.
