Visitors traveling from Dubai to the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) can now enjoy a scenic and free boat ride. The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has partnered with the Roads and Transport Authorities (RTA) of Sharjah and Dubai to facilitate this convenient transportation option.
Transportation Details
Ten boats will operate between Sharjah Aquarium Station and a temporary dock at the Expo Centre Sharjah, where the fair takes place. This service enhances accessibility for attendees looking to avoid traffic while enjoying the beautiful views along the way.
Schedule of Boat Services
- Friday to Sunday:
- Departures from Sharjah Aquarium: 2 PM, 4 PM, 6 PM, 9 PM
- Return trips from Dubai’s Al Ghubaiba Station: 3 PM, 5 PM, 8 PM, 10 PM
- Monday to Thursday:
- Departures from Sharjah Aquarium: 7 AM, 8 AM, 1 PM, 4:45 PM, 6:15 PM
- Return trips from Dubai’s Al Ghubaiba Station: 7:45 AM, 10 AM, 4 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM

In addition to the boat service, SIBF has introduced several visitor-friendly initiatives:
