Dubai’s revised parking tariffs came into effect on April 4, introducing variable fees across the city. Here’s everything you need to know about the new system, including peak-hour rates, premium zones, and subscription plans.
Peak-Hour Parking Charges
Premium parking spaces now cost Dh6 per hour during peak hours, which are:
- 8 AM to 10 AM
- 4 PM to 8 PM
These charges apply across all zones, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Premium Parking Zones
Dubai’s public parking system consists of four main zones: A, B, C, and D. Premium parking areas are categorized under AP, BP, CP, and DP, where fees are adjusted based on demand.
The selection criteria for premium parking spaces include:
- Proximity to metro stations (within 500 meters).
- Areas with high parking demand during peak hours.
- Zones with dense commercial activity, such as marketplaces.
Parking Tariffs by Zone
Dubai features several additional parking zones beyond A-D, each serving different commercial hubs:
- JLT: Codes E, I, J, K, L
- Knowledge Village, Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City: Code F
- Burj Khalifa, Marasi Bay, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Hills: Code G
- Dubai Silicon Oasis: Code H
- Dubai World Trade Centre: Code X (Dh25 per hour during events)
Parking Subscription Options
Parkin offers two types of subscriptions based on parking preferences:
1. Plots-Only Subscription
This plan grants access to parking plots in zones B and D but excludes areas like A, C, H, J, and K.
Subscription Fees:
- 1 month: Dh250
- 3 months: Dh700
- 6 months: Dh1,300
- 12 months: Dh2,400
2. Roadside & Plots Subscription
Subscribers get access to zones A, B, C, and D, allowing up to 4 consecutive hours for roadside parking and 24 hours in plots.
Subscription Fees:
- 1 month: Dh500
- 3 months: Dh1,400
- 6 months: Dh2,500
- 12 months: Dh4,500
Key Subscription Rules
- Up to three vehicles can be linked under a Dubai traffic file, but only one vehicle can be active at a time.
- If the vehicle is registered outside Dubai or under a company file, only one vehicle can be added.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable.
- Downgrading from roadside & plots parking to plots-only parking is not permitted.
- Modifying vehicle information linked to a subscription incurs a Dh100 fee.
Dubai’s parking system is evolving to ensure efficiency and convenience while optimizing space availability during high-traffic hours. Choosing the right subscription can save time and money, especially for frequent commuters.
