Prepare for Peak Travel Season: July 1–15, 2025
Sharjah Airport has announced a surge in passenger traffic during the first two weeks of July 2025. Over 800,000 travelers are expected to fly in and out of the emirate from July 1 to 15, marking one of the busiest travel periods of the summer.
To handle the high volume, the Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has implemented a detailed operational plan. The plan aims to ensure smooth check-ins, faster processing, and efficient service across all terminals.
Arrive Early to Avoid Delays
Airport officials strongly recommend that passengers arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure. This allows time to complete travel procedures and avoid last-minute delays. Authorities also advise travelers to check flight schedules with their airlines ahead of time for any last-minute changes.
Full Operations Resume After Regional Tensions
Following the recent Iran-Israel conflict and an Iranian missile strike on a US base in Qatar, many UAE residents had paused their travel plans. However, after the ceasefire announcement, most UAE airlines, including Emirates, Etihad, and Air Arabia, resumed full operations within hours.
In its latest update, Air Arabia confirmed the gradual return of previously suspended flights as regional airspace continues to reopen.
Smart Services Enhance Passenger Experience
Sharjah Airport has increased staff availability and customer service support during the peak travel season. Teams are actively helping passengers navigate the airport’s smart systems and technologies, making travel more convenient. The airport aims to provide a seamless and stress-free journey for every traveler.
More UAE Residents Head Abroad for Summer
With school holidays in full swing and temperatures soaring, many UAE residents are flying to their home countries or cooler destinations. The summer months traditionally see a massive spike in outbound travel, and 2025 is no exception.
