Empowering Equality: UAE Launches Women First Jobs, a Pioneering Portal for Gender-Balanced Career Opportunities

Embarking on a job search but unsure where to begin? The United Arab Emirates introduces its inaugural women-only jobs portal, “Women First Jobs,” designed to foster gender equality and balance in industries with historically low female representation. This groundbreaking platform aims to ensure parity in pay and opportunities across sectors like finance, hospitality, logistics, and IT. Catering to both senior-level and junior to middle management roles, the portal aligns with the UAE’s commitment to gender balance, as emphasized by Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council. Addressing the lack of a female talent database and impersonal recruitment processes, Women First Jobs also offers mentoring and training for women returning from maternity breaks. Additionally, the portal supports Emirati businesses in achieving localization targets, and for each successful placement, it contributes to NGOs worldwide focused on women’s and children’s development. Founded by Priyanka Sengar, who brings extensive experience from multinational corporations in both India and the UAE, this initiative marks a significant step towards fostering diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
