Dubai has introduced a new law that establishes a distinct emblem for the emirate, reflecting its values and principles. The emblem is the property of the emirate of Dubai and can be used across government facilities, documents, websites, and during official events. Private entities may also use it but require prior approval from the Dubai Ruler or his representative. Improper use of the emblem can result in imprisonment of up to five years and a fine ranging from Dh100,000 to Dh500,000. Individuals must cease its use within 30 days unless granted permission to continue. The law is effective immediately.
