Dubai has unveiled plans to build a Dh55-million underwater floating mosque. This unique structure will feature three floors, with one level submerged underwater to serve as the praying area, accommodating about 50-75 worshippers. The mosque will also include ablution facilities and washrooms. While the exact location has not been disclosed, it will be close to the shore, with a bridge connecting it to the mainland. The mosque will be open to people of all religions, but visitors will be required to dress modestly and respect Islamic traditions and customs. Construction is expected to commence soon.
