Fuel Prices Increase in May While Diesel Remains Stable

Dubai: The UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the latest petrol and diesel prices for May 2026, with the new rates taking effect from Friday, May 1. These changes reflect ongoing shifts in global oil markets.

Super 98 petrol now costs Dh3.66 per litre, rising from Dh3.39 in April. Special 95 petrol increased to Dh3.55 per litre, compared to Dh3.28 last month. Meanwhile, E-Plus petrol reached Dh3.48 per litre, up from Dh3.20 in April.

In contrast, diesel prices remain unchanged for May, offering some stability despite the increase in petrol rates.

Drivers across the UAE will notice higher fuel costs this month, especially for petrol, as global market trends continue to influence local pricing.
