Dubai motorists can now save as much as Dh1,500 by utilizing the Dubai Police’s ‘On-the-Go’ services available at petrol stations. This initiative allows drivers to report minor accidents and crimes while refueling their vehicles.
Convenient Services Offered
The Dubai Police have partnered with major fuel suppliers, including Enoc, Adnoc, and Emarat, to provide essential services at petrol stations. Motorists can access six key services:
- Reports of minor traffic accidents
- Reports of accidents involving unknown parties
- Lost and found items
- Vehicle repair assistance
- Police Eye service for reporting suspicious activities
- E-Crime reporting
Streamlined Process
By implementing this initiative, the Dubai Police have reduced service delivery time from 24 hours to just 2 minutes. Capt. Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, head of the On-the-Go team, highlighted the collaborative efforts that led to this transformation, aiming to enhance customer experience and maintain Dubai’s leadership in security.
Cost Savings for Motorists
Previously, the average cost for these services was around Dh1,927, but the On-the-Go initiative has brought it down to approximately Dh420. This significant reduction encourages more motorists to take advantage of the services while they refuel.
Conclusion
The ‘On-the-Go’ initiative reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to improving accessibility and convenience for residents. By offering essential services directly at petrol stations, motorists can efficiently manage minor incidents without the need to visit police stations, ultimately saving time and money.
