Dubai’s Record-Breaking 25-Day Stadium Build for FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024

The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 Dubai organisers achieved a groundbreaking feat, completing the tournament’s stadium in the Dubai Design District in a record-setting 25 days, as reported by WAM. This extraordinary achievement surpassed previous construction records for such facilities.

Scheduled from February 15 to 25, the event marks Dubai’s second time hosting the Beach Soccer World Cup, with 16 teams competing in 4 groups. The stadium, beyond its standard specifications, features a unique sand arena, 40 cm deep and spanning 36 by 27 meters, providing a distinctive setting for the tournament.

Situated beside Dubai’s water canal, the stadium redefines beach soccer in an urban environment, showcasing UAE’s engineering prowess. Equipped with advanced lighting and a large video screen, the stadium offers unparalleled comfort and convenience for fans, whether in the VIP area or the media centre.

Jaime Yarza González, FIFA Tournaments Director, praised the stadium as the best in the tournament’s history, citing its facilities, construction materials, and the record time in which it was built. The UAE’s hosting of the World Cup for the second time further solidifies its position as a premier sports destination, highlighting its commitment to innovation and excellence.

Despite heavy rains recently, the stadium’s pitch remains unaffected due to the special type of sand used, which absorbs water effectively. The stadium has a capacity of 3,900 spectators, with dedicated entrances and exits for each side, hosting two matches per day with ticket prices ranging from AED20 to AED40.
