Eid Al Fitr’s holiday announced for UAE private sector

Private sector workers in the UAE may enjoy a one-week holiday for Eid Al Fitr, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. The paid leave will likely span from the 29th day of Ramadan, starting April 8, until the third day of Shawwal. The exact dates of Eid Al Fitr depend on the sighting of the moon. If Ramadan lasts 29 days, the holiday will be four days long, ending on April 12. If Ramadan extends to 30 days, as expected, the holiday will last until April 15. This aligns with the federal government’s directive for its employees. The total break could be up to nine days when weekends are included.
